Amusnaw Cultural Association (ACA) $34,100 To strengthen the capacity of local human rights groups in Tizi Ouzou to promote and advocate for women’s rights and democracy. ACA will conduct a capacity- building program for local NGOs in Tizi Ouzou, expand its 15-member local network advocating legislative reforms on women status, and lead a public awareness campaign on women legal rights. Arab Institute for Human Rights (AIHR) $80,080 To reinforce and strengthen skills on the issue of national reconciliation and transitional justice in order to encourage collaboration among civil society and governmental actors and built capacities of specific target groups. AIHR will hold three conferences. One on national reconciliation and transitional justice on a regional level and two on national training courses for Algerian lawyers and journalists on the same issue.
