Outlook has become one of the most convenient and feature-rich email clients in the history of
electronic communication.
One of the features that many users are really fond of is Outlook’s
ability to store files on PST’s and OST’s that allow you to free up server space without having to
delete your email.
However, these two files are prone to over usage and over sizing and would
require repair tools in order to be rectified.
If this is the case, the one would need to active the PST
repair command called scanpst in order for the error to be corrected and the file repaired.
The PST repair command can be seen on one of Windows’ folders.
Since the file is hidden, you
may need to look for it in either (Windows XP and 2000) X:\Documents and
Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook or (Windows Vista)
X:\users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook.
