Society of Activities and Research on the Indian World, 10th Annual International Colloquium 28-29-30 May 2015 Notes on contributors Plenary speakers Sangeeta RAY Sangeeta Ray is Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Maryland. She is the author of two books Engendering India: Woman and Nation in Colonial and Postcolonial Narratives (Duke, 2000) and Gayatri Charavorty Spivak: In Other Words (WileyBlackwell, 2008). She is the coeditor of the seminal anthology of essays Companion to Postcolonial Studies (Blackwell 2000) and the coeditor of the three volume (print and online editions) Encyclopedia of Postcolonial Studies (Wiley-Blackwell, 2016). She is the author of seminal articles in key journals and has served on the editorial board of many prestigious journals.
