launches Hope South Florida to the
congregations of the eight partner
churches begins.
Over the next ten
minutes, tens of thousands are
introduced to some staggering statistics
about the thousands of fellow South
Floridians on the wait list for shelter and
left to sleep under bridges, in their cars,
or the wooded areas around the I-95
exits.
Perhaps most difficult to see are the
faces of the children.
Of the over four
thousand South Floridians in Broward
County who find themselves homeless
each night, they learn that almost twenty
percent are children.
