Newspapers across the country
are in trouble.
Advertising
revenues are down and papers are
cutting staff, circulation and some
have actually stopped printing a
physical paper and gone to
the web only.
Christian newspapers
are not exempt from this
challenge.
The Christian
newspaperfromthePortland
area is down over 23% in ad
revenue this past year.
The
Christian Journal founded
in 1998, is down 50% in ad
revenue.
In fact, the paper
you hold in your hands is
the smallest paper we have
printed in 10 years.

have a dilemma.
We don’t
have the ad income to keep
printing, but the popularity
of The Christian Journal
is at an all time high.

distribution racks because
theyarepickedupsoquickly.
We get more letters and
emails from people really
enjoying the encouragement
and inspiration for their faith
