heated and
blisters. It
then bursts

air y pieces
of popcorn.
We too, carry
small kernels.
Butours,when
heated, are not
the ones we
enjoy while
watching a
good movie.
Ta k e f o r
example Satan’s minions who have thrown
barbs, putdowns, enticements and dismal
challenges at a Christian executive for
months. But they can’t break him. Like Job,
no matter the temptation to get angry or
blame God for his unpleasant circumstances,
he never wavered.
“This isn’t working,” thinks Satan. “We
must change our tactics.” He whispered to
the executive. “Your brother received the
CEO position you desired.” The executive
is stunned. “You’re more qualified. You’ve
worked here longer. You deserve this
promotion. Not him,” Satan spews. The
young man stands. His envy and jealousy
mounts. The kernels begin to vibrate with
the heat. Satan smiles. “Gotcha.”
