Essay 1: Vocational Teacher Competence with Regard to the Study Guide As a vocational teachers we need to have certain amount of competeces, We need to be experts in our own fields but also we need to be competent teachers. In this case we are going to work with the teachers´ competences and according to the study guide; “vocational pedagógical competence is divided into three áreas: (1) Guidance & Counselling Teaching and Assessment Competence, (2) Work community and Networking Competence and (3) Research and DevelopmentCompetence (Research-‐based development)” In the SENA we are working with competences, we have some trainers in the organization; they update the experienced teachers or just to train the new teachers. I understand we have to make our own study plan in this Hagaa-Helia course, which is different in Colombia. Our teaching teachers have a plan made for the organization teachers.
