February 2015 Dear Friends, We send greetings to you and all your family, friends and neighbours around you. 2015 for a new challenge of achieving education for all! Since the last time we wrote to you the New Year has passed bringing expectations of what we want to achieve. Some people hope to start a new business or activity, some plan to travel and see their family, some will finish their studies this year, while many children will start in their first year of primary school. Who among us can remember that first day of primary school, standing there surround by strange buildings and people? Here in Dar es Salaam, the ATD team has again witnessed many parents facing challenges for their children to be registered in school, or return to Standard 3, 4, 5, etc. Two children had been sent home from school last year in October and had stayed at home since that time. A member of the ATD team accompanied the mother to meet and discuss with the headteacher, who has accepted for the children
