Every day around 20 girls between 10 and 14 years old give birth in Colombia. In Nicaragua, almost 30% of women reported being mothers before the age of 18. In both cases, such transformation in the lives of these women is related to their social conditions and often to episodes of sexual violence. In order to discuss coincidences such as these that result in 2 million births per year in Latin America, 15 countries of the region met in San Salvador, El Salvador, between October 24th and 25th at the Forum “Reducing Inequities – Strategic Actions for the prevention of pregnancies in teenagers”. The event was co-organized by the Council of Ministers of Health of Central America and the Dominican Republic (COMISCA) and the Andean Health Agency (ORAS-CONHU) and also counted with the support of ISAGS, within the framework of the interinstitutional collaboration ISAGS SUPPORTED THE FORUM ORGANIZED IN ELSALVADOR BY COMISCA AND ORAS-CONHU THAT BROUGHTTOGETHER REPRESENTATIVES OF COUNTRIES AND OR
