Brussels 15 September 2014 TRANSPOESIE 2014 “One poem, one language, how many journeys?” The 2014 edition has “Movement” as its theme The TRANSPOESIE poetry festival, organised for the fourth consecutive year by EUNIC Brussels (the European Network of National Institutes for Culture), officially begins on 25 September, marking the European Day of Languages. This year, no fewer than thirty countries have joined together to offer the population of Brussels a selection of thirty poems in their original languages (28 languages in total), with translations in French and Dutch. Four literary events will take place, organized by the TRANSPOESIE festival: - 25 September 2014 | Bozar (rue Ravenstein 23, 1000 Brussels) | 8 pm Opening poetry evening bringing together six European poets: Serge Delaive [Belgium], Kristin Dimitrova [Bulgaria], Athena Farrokhzad [Sweden], Sigurður Pálsson [Iceland], Tomasz Różycki [Poland], Doina Ioanid [Romania].
