Why is it that so many of those with ASD are strug- gling with having just a simple bowel movement? Is it the foods that are being eaten? For many, yes, it is the foods that are being consumed. Have you ever heard of the term, Picky Eaters? That term doesn’t even begin to sum up what parents are going through with their children day in and day out. I can remember spending afternoons going to three or four stores to find one particular cracker my son would eat and buying every box the store had. I would get to the check out line and the clerk would ask, “Are you having a party?” I often would be embarrassed and reply, “Oh, our whole family LOVES these crackers.” However, the truth of the matter was, all of those boxes were for my two-year-old son.
