The OKTOBERFEST is celebrated in Germany.

million travelers from different parts of Europe and of rest of world, drink about
6 million liters of beer.
Oktoberfest started in 1810 when Luis I married princess Teresa of
Hildburghousen.
The people of Munich were invited to celebrate in from of the
fields at the gates of the city.
People celebrated this event with horse racing
and a lot of beer.
Starting this year, they continued repeating the horse races
each year to become a national holiday celebrated on October 3rd.
The
festival has prolonged to September because they wanted to take advantage
of better weather conditions.
Oktoberfest was canceled only 24 times by
cholera epidemics and war.
