remember me today, but he
remembers my grandpa very wellwell enough to call every Oct.

McKinzie, Coach Mac, is remembered
by hundreds of other former athletes he
influenced in his 66 years of college
football coaching.
My grandpa s never-give-up philosophy left a lasting impression on his players because he was a living testimony of
his beliefs.
Grandpa just never quit.
At
93, as the oldest coach in the nation, he
was still telling wide receivers at
Eureka College, Illinois, how to hang on
to the ball.
Though Coach Mac s stride has
slowed to a shuffle now, he still looks
like a man who has spent a lifetime on a
football field.
