NO TO THE SPANISH CONSTITUTIONAL MONARCHY! YES TO THE GALIZAN REPUBLIC!
During the commemoration of the signing of the Spanish Constitution, Galiza Nova renewed its call
for the creation of a Galizan Republic, with the youth wing of the BNG condemning the Spanish
Constitution as a hang-over from the dictatorship underpinned by capitalism, making it a
prison for the peoples it reigns over and denying the nations oppressed by the Spanish State,
namely Galiza, the Basque Country and Catalonia, the right to self-determination. Our organisation
also took part in the acts organised by the newly-created Sovereignty for Galiza platform, whose
aim is to bring the national question to the fore, with mobilisations intended to strengthen national
feeling in Galizan society at large, as part of the wider process of nation building leading to the
creation of a Galizan State.
