Salmon Arm Weekend A.M. All Month: August 7 Onto the next phase Molehills Lorne REIMER New construction seems to run in cycles. This past year has been one for public buildings. The new CSRD complex opens on Monday, and later this summer, School District 83 will opens the door for its new administration and program building. There will also be an enormous gathering place for those who have fun times playing with their money. This year we could see a trend shift over to condo construction. Two such projects were discussed at Monday’s council meeting and are both bound for public hearings due to changes in zoning from commercial to residential. Two condos totalling 24 units, and fashioned in the style of a New York Brownstone, are proposed just west of the RCMP building at 11th Ave. and 18th St. NE. Councillors pointed out that while 11th Ave. is zoned highway commercial, its ‘side-of-a-cliff’ location below the Tank Hill stretch of highway does not exactly lend itself to commercial high
