Meeting with the representative from European Economic and Social Committee
Our students from class 11 take part in the EESC contest “Your Europe Your Say”.
One of the
tasks is to organise a meeting with the people from this committee who represent Latvia in
Brussels.
We were lucky to cooperate with Ms Gunta Anča who is involved in the subgroups of this
committee which represent the problems of disabled people.
As Ms Anča is a person with
movement disabilities the greatest part of this meeting dealt with the problems of disabled
people.
Ms Anča showed us several videos about the situation how disabled people feel in the society.
The greatest interest was aroused by the video which turned the things upside down – meaning
– an ordinary person has to live through one day in the world of people with different
disabilities.
