International Book Day, 23rd April 2013.
This year our school is going to celebrate the International Book Day with two famous British
writers: Charles Dickens and C.
S.
Lewis.
1.
The younger students (1st
Cycle of Primary) have watched the film the “Chronicles
of Narnia” by C.
S.
Lewis.
They were learning about the vocabulary from the film, and
made a book mark with all the information about the book and the writer.
2.
The older students (2nd
and 3rd
Cycle of Primary) have watched the film “Oliver
Twist” by Charles Dickens.
The students have learnt about the vocabulary, the society
in this century and the biography of this writer.
We made a booklet, poster,
worksheets and a book mark about this.
The bookmarks have a bit of information on the authors and
for the younger students there are images that they can colour
in.
Hopefully they encourage the children to read.
