Warm-up concept
It is a set of physical exercises we perform to be physically and mentally ready to carry out a
later activity that usually is more strenuous.
Therefore it is necessary to warm-up before training,
in order to be prepared.
There is no doubt that time spent on warming up and cooling down will improve an athlete s
level of performance and accelerate the recovery process needed before and after training or
competition.
To summarize, we warm up for three reasons: to
prevent injury, to improve performance and to prepare
psychologically for the event.

Warm-up stages
Every warm-up has two phases at least:
• General stage: Its aim is to run your
organism using several exercises affecting
whole body, through great muscles.
Actually we call this stage as General
warm-up.
• Specific stage: we just run the muscles
