The Arinis Park – Yesterday and Today
Gura Humorului is a town in the region of Bucovina.
It dates back from 1490.
“ Its virtues
of climatic resort have been recognized for a long time, as it has always been considered a
wonderful resting place ”.
The town is situated in a mountain area, where there are many tourist
attractions, such as: The Voronet Monastery, the Humor Monastery (UNESCO monuments), as well
as the Arinis Park.
The park is situated on the left of the Moldova River.
The entrance is through the Mihai
Eminescu Street.
Inside the park, there are paved alleys and the green spaces are filled with
flowerbeds.
Over the years, very rare trees have been planted, such as: the white fir-tree (Abies
alba), the silver fir-tree (Abies argintea), the trembling poplar-tree (Populous tremula), the
hornbeam-tree (Carpinus betulus).
