Each year in September Limassol has a great event. It’s called the wine festival. Ever since
1961 people from all over Europe have been visiting Limassol for this special and unique
event.
The wine festival was inspired from the glorious festivities in ancient Greece to honour the
Olympic god Dionysus and also honours today a long range production of wine in Cyprus.
