This is an un-retouched scan of a controversial promotional flyer circulated by Stockwell Day for Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Conservative Party of Canada to neighbourhoods in Montreal, Quebec, Canada deemed largely "Jewish" in the last week of November, 2009.
The flyer contains a prominent rendering of a voting ballot with the names of the leaders of Canada's major federal parties. The particular copy of the flyer scanned here was found as bulk mail in an apartment mailbox in the Côte-des-Neiges district of Montreal at the end of November 2009.
Controversy over this flyer was reflected in recent Montreal TV news coverage during which a Jewish woman was interviewed standing in front of her home. She denounced the flyer as defamatory to the Liberals.
