President’s Message
Dear Colleagues,
Best wishes to each of you for the New Year.
I hope it will bring you good health, happiness and prosperity.
We
begin not only a new year but a new decade as well.
The first decade of this millennium was fraught with trauma
and difficulties for both our nation and many of its citizens.
Still I look forward with optimism.
At the commencement of a new year most of us make resolutions that too often go unfulfilled as the year
progresses.
I would ask that you consider two that you can fulfill and that will impact both your professional
growth and your influence on your students’ instructional development.
These resolutions are that you will be
informed and knowledgeable about what’s happening in the field of literacy education and that you will ensure
that your voice is heard.
